I just got my second wrong-number call from someone who actually wanted to reach the nearby Sheraton Universal City Hotel. My home phone number is 818- 980-7878 and theirs is 818- 980-1212. Crap!
Maybe I should start taking reservations. And credit card numbers too!
It’s ironic because these guys don’t even allow filming. Okay, to be fair, they do allow it, but they don’t really want the filming, so they purposely price themselves out, and their suites are completely off-limits to film crews. At least, these were their policies in October 2004 when I tried location scouting the place for Alpha Dog (for a Las Vegas hotel scene that was later edited out of the movie).
