I completed item #14 today by finally renewing my American Red Cross certification in First Aid, CPR, and AED. The last time I’d taken the class was four years ago, back when I was still in Northern California. At that time, I was also doing disaster relief through them, but that’s something that, unfortunately, I no longer have time to do. Still, it’s important to stay updated on the training for those occasional emergencies (I saved somebody’s life in 1997, and I’ve administered first aid many, many times). I highly encourage all of you to take these classes too! You never know when you’re going to need it.

I really need to do this, take a class for CPR, etc. And also it might be a good idea to create a disaster kit at home, since we do live in a very, very earthquake prone area.
